Dorset Cereals takes the trophy at Food & Drink Expo
Dorset Cereals, the UK’s fastest growing cereal company, has been presented with the Supreme Champion Award at one of the Country’s most hotly contested food competitions, Ideas to Dine For! 2008. The Company’s muesli recipe, Fruit, Nuts & Seeds wowed the judges and was crowned the overall winner at the Show at an awards ceremony hosted by TV Chef Silvena Rowe on Monday 7th April. Hundreds of entries were received for the 12 categories in the competition, which recognises products for taste and innovation.
Patrick Horton from Dorset Cereals commented: “This is such a great achievement for Dorset Cereals and we are absolutely thrilled to have been presented with the Supreme Champion Award. At Dorset Cereals we pride ourselves on making simple, honest cereals and this award is testament to the hard work, skill and dedication of our team.”
Dorset Cereals competed against some of the UK’s best speciality food producers in the final including Godminster Vintage, The Fresh Pasta Company and the Really Garlicky Co. Each product won in its category before facing the final rigorous judging process. Judges included expert food writers, chefs and buyers from award-winning restaurants, magazines and businesses.
Judges comments included: “a quality, seedy, natural, healthy product”, “ticked every box”, “loved everything about it”, “excellent taste, packaging and overall concept”.

Note to Editors:
Dorset Cereals sources only the finest quality ingredients from around the world, and is committed to making premium cereals. Each recipe is carefully blended and balanced and packed full of crisp flakes, crunchy nuts and soft succulent fruit. The blending process used by Dorset Cereals ensures that the ingredients remain whole, resulting in as little ‘dust’ as possible in the pack. Only natural ingredients are used in each of the cereals, which are approved by the Vegetarian Society and kosher. Last year saw the complete re-launch of the Company with new contemporary packaging, which reflects the uncompromising dedication the company has to making premium cereals.
