Slippers spotted at Dorset Cereals for Stress Down Day
Slippers of all shapes and sizes were spotted at Dorset Cereals recently as the Company showed its support for Stress Down Day, a national event organised by the Samaritans. Members of the Poundbury based team wore slippers to work and donated money to the Charity. Dorset Cereals also supported the day by providing over 10,000 mini packs of Cranberry, Cherry & Raspberry Naturally Light Flakes to the Samaritans, which were given to commuters at Victoria and Liverpool Street Station as part of the Charity’s Stress Down Day Tea Packs.
“Everyone at Dorset Cereals really took on board the message behind Stress Down Day and it was great to see so many pairs of slippers! Thanks go to the whole team for its support and donations. Stress Down Day fits with our long held belief that enjoying life’s simple pleasures can reduce stress levels and it was a real pleasure to support the Samaritans,” said Patrick Horton.
Stress Down Day was created by the Samaritans to raise awareness of the effects of stress in the workplace and to encourage people to take better care of their emotional well-being. Events were held throughout the Country to raise funds for the Charity to enable them to continue to help people in need of emotional support.
