Make Christmas Simple with Dorset Cereals
Dorset Cereals has launched a new section of its website called Make Christmas Simple to encourage people to make their own Christmas cards, presents and wrapping papers. From origami snowmen and Christmas trees to homemade Turkish Delight and beautifully easy presents for family and friends, the award-winning cereal company has created a delightful range of ideas and projects to inspire all.
“Making life simpler and more pleasurable is a big thing for us at Dorset Cereals. The idea of Make Christmas Simple was inspired by a whole host of us bemoaning the fact that Christmas often turns into an expensive meaningless card and gift giving exercise. This year we have decided to spend time with our friends and family making things rather than battling with the crowded Christmas shops. To encourage others to do the same we have come up with a range of ideas which we hope will inspire everyone to get creative, saving themselves money and making presents more meaningful. Giving a friend or loved one something you make is much more thoughtful and personal,” said Patrick Horton from Dorset Cereals.
Many of the ideas that are included on the website have been created by friends and members of the team at Dorset Cereals. These include making your own snowflake drinks coaster, angel egg warmer and star tree decorations. Simple, easy to make presents include homemade Turkish Delight and handmade boxes and each idea comes with detailed step by step instructions.
Also included on the Make Christmas Simple pages are a whole host of present ideas from companies that are based in Dorset. From delicious wines from Lyme Bay Winery, Dorset hampers from a Taste of Rural Dorset, wooden toys from Jumping Frog Toys and beautiful handmade cards from Hellos and Highs, the website will give visitors ideas to make their Christmas a truly Dorset affair.
“Dorset is a wonderful County and we are incredibly lucky to work in a place which is seen by many as a haven of the UK. There are so many fantastic companies based on our doorstep from food producers to artists and we have included a small selection on our site so that people from all over the Country can bring a bit of Dorset to their Christmas. We hope that our new Make Christmas Simple pages will give people the inspiration to make, cook and buy Dorset,” finished Patrick.

Note to Editors:
Dorset Cereals sources only the finest quality ingredients from around the world, and is committed to making premium cereals. Each recipe is carefully blended and balanced and packed full of crisp flakes, crunchy nuts and soft succulent fruit. The blending process used by Dorset Cereals ensures that the ingredients remain whole, resulting in as little ‘dust’ as possible in the pack. Only natural ingredients are used in each of the cereals, which are approved by the Vegetarian Society and kosher. Last year saw the complete re-launch of the Company with new contemporary packaging, which reflects the uncompromising dedication the company has to making premium cereals.
