225g Self Raising Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
4 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Pinch of Salt
225g Unsalted Butter (Softened)
250g Caster Sugar
4 eggs beaten
150g Natural Yogurt
2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
For Filling and Topping
100g Dorset Cereals Chocolate Granola with Macadamias
100g Good Milk Chocolate
3 Tbsp Milk
125g Mini Marshmallows
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C Fan/Gas4
To make the cake:
Sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt in a bowl.
Beat the butter until pale and fluffy.
Add the sugar and beat for another two minutes.
Slowly add the eggs, beating well after each addition.
Stir in the yogurt and vanilla extract.
Stir in the dry ingredients, mix well. Spoon the mixture evenly into the prepared tins.
Bake in the oven for 30 mins or until firm to the touch. Leave to cool in the tins for a couple of minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.
Topping and Filling:
Gently melt the chocolate with the milk and 30g of the marshmallows in a saucepan.
Allow to cool slightly.
Pierce each cake layer with a sharp knife.
Pour the Chocolate sauce over each cake layer and then sprinkle with the Granola and marshmallows.
