win an amazing portrait… of whoever you like!

You Are Art was started in 2002 to offer people the chance to buy fantastic contemporary pop art pictures and photos on canvas that are deeply personal. They use some of the leading digital artists, illustrators and graphic artists in the country. Depending on the modern portrait style, each of their pop art pictures takes up to 15 hours to develop. It is this investment in time and skill that makes their portraits so outstanding. To see the quality of their work just take a look at their gallery of modern portrait styles, and particularly the full size files which show you what the artwork will look like when reproduced at full size.

Gul wetsuits for a
family of four

This week’s prize is a piece of surfing history. In the early Sixties, surfer Dennis Cross decided he’d had enough: much as he loved surfing, the Atlantic water of the Cornish coast was just too cold. His solution was to create the first custom-built Gul wetsuit for surfers. There have been more than a few technological improvements over the past 40 years, and Gul now produces more than 35,000 wetsuits per year and exports to over 50 countries. If you can’t wait to see if you’re a winner, you can buy online or at one of their nine stores in the south-west.

Delicious Honeybuns goody bags

In the late 1990s Emma Goss-Custard had a hare-brained scheme to pedal around Oxford delivering her homemade cakes to delis and cafes. In a nutshell, by mixing luscious ingredients, anoraky attention to detail and plenty of fun, Honeybuns aim to deliver the “WOW” and “YUM” factors in every cake they make. They bake their cherished products far slower than larger bakeries do. They set their oven temperature low to allow flavours to mingle and develop properly. Batches are small and they only ever use natural ingredients. All of their products are wheat-free and many are gluten-free and dairy-free too.

Dishes are brought to you at the table for you to help yourselves and portions are generous: there is always plenty to go around. The menu will vary depending on what’s local and in season. Riverford’s organic box scheme began when Guy Watson started delivering vegetables locally to 30 friends in Devon. They now deliver around 47,000 boxes a week to homes around the UK from their regional sister farms.

Roses are red, Cornishware’s blue, but these special red ones say: “I love you”

T.G.Green & Co. first produced Cornishware in the 1920s. The distinctive blue and white banded pottery owes its name to an employee who said it reminded them of the blue sky and white-crested waves of Cornwall.

Over eight decades, Cornishware adorned millions of British homes and become a design classic. In the 1960s, it was updated by a young designer called Judith Onions. It says much for her skill and sensitivity that this restyled range was embraced as warmly as the originals had been.

Over the past 20 years, the range has become highly prized by collectors, with the sighting of both rare original designs and Onions classics the subject of much excitement – and ever-increasing prices.

Congratulations to our 15 winners – they’ll be receiving a set of Cornishware Love Cups soon.

The perfect addition to your picnic...

Based just down the road from us at Naish Farm in Dorset, Honeybuns bake their products far slower than larger bakeries do. By setting their oven temperature to ‘low’ they allow flavours to mingle and develop properly. Batches are small and their products are made only from natural ingredients. All Honeybuns products are wheat-free and many are gluten-free and dairy-free too. They’re perfect for picnics or as a tea-time treat.
