Boozy Baked Bananas

method

BBQ Method
Cook the bananas in their skins until they blacken.

Slightly black for a firmer banana and well coloured for a softer banana.

Add warm bananas to a bowl.

Option to add a little coconut sugar, maple or caramel sauce.

Serve with ice cream, a drizzle of Gran Mariner or Cointreau and dorset cereals Honey granola.

 

Pan Fried Method 
Peel the bananas and slice in half lengthways.

Sprinkle with a little coconut sugar to coat.

Heat butter or coconut oil in a non stick frying pan.

Cook the bananas cut side down on a medium/ low heat for 1 – 2 minutes until golden.

Flip with a spatula and cook for 30 seconds – 1 minute. The bananas should still have a bite but be cooked.

Add the warm bananas to a bowl and serve with ice cream, a drizzle of Gran Mariner or Cointreau and dorset cereals Honey granola.

  • 1-2tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil (pan fried only)
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • drizzle of Gran Mariner or Cointreau
  • 1/4 cup dorset cereals Honey Granola
  • optional drizzle of caramel sauce
